About me

Hi, my name is Juana Gonzalez Iñiguez, and I'm thrilled to share a little about myself. I was raised in City Bell, Argentina, where my love for cooking began. I've always enjoyed preparing meals for my friends and family, bringing them joy through my culinary creations. In 2017, I graduated as a Culinary Technician from UADE (Universidad Argentina de la Empresa). I am excited to bring you a taste of my Argentinian culture, through pastries made only from authentic ingredients and recipes.

My Story

For as long as I can remember, I have always had a passion for cooking. Growing up in Argentina, I would use mud and old beach buckets to create all kinds of imaginary treats. Before long, I was helping my mother serve up some of my country’s most traditional main dishes for family and friends. Much of my early cooking experience was also guided by my abuela (grandmother), who taught me how to make family favorites like gnocchi (in the picture) and pastel peruano.

It has been a dream of mine to open my own restaurant. My career experiences have taken me across the continent; from a ski resort restaurant in Vermont (where I met my husband) to a Spanish tapas restaurant in California, from distributing meals for a food pantry on Martha’s Vineyard to cooking at a cultural center in my hometown of La Plata.

The variety of dishes that I have prepared throughout my career have given me wonderful experiences, but they have also reminded me of something greater. The traditional foods of my Argentinian culture, what I grew up eating and serving to my family, are now what I care most about bringing to the Boston community.
